Colchester Food Bank Easter Egg appeal

Tenants and staff collected easter eggs to go to the children registered at the Colchester Food Bank. Alison Bradford who was collecting on behalf of the appeal said, ‘thank you for your kind donations, of 98 eggs…… they were thrilled to receive so many’.

Cheviot Nursing Home 

We are delighted to welcome our new Activities Co-ordinator, Miguel Amador-Gonzalez to the Cheviot Team. Miguel and Amy have been busy supporting the residents over the Easter period. The residents have enjoyed Easter crafting, a pub quiz, games afternoons and flower arranging.

Over the Easter weekend, the residents took part in decorating eggs and hats (assisted by Aliona and Mariia) using onion skins, food colouring and a pair of old tights, went hunting for chocolate easter eggs and received easter treats from Alice in Wonderland (Emily) and Chloe on Good Friday and the Easter Bunny (Miguel) on Easter Sunday too!

Freda Gunton Lodge 

The residents in Freda Gunton Lodge have been busy over the Easter period. Residents have enjoyed some Easter themed crafting and an Easter egg hunt with relatives and staff, which was won by Marie and her granddaughter. Residents also enjoyed a visit from the Pets as Therapy team and listening to our resident Valerie and her grandson William entertain them with their wonderful piano playing.
