Compliments
“On behalf of myself and the family of RD who is a resident at Cheviot Nursing Home , we would like to thank all the staff who look after my Dad.
Our Dad came to Cheviot’s after suffering a major stroke, he was unable to stand or eat and we didn’t know what the future held for him. Thankfully, we found Cheviot Nursing Home who gave him the care, kindness and reassurance he needed to enable him to make significant improvements. Without all the support he received from all the team at Cheviot’s he wouldn’t now be able to walk the corridors of the home and enjoy the food that the very kind kitchen staff provide.
None of us thought we would be lucky enough to see our Dad laugh again and take pleasure in seeing him tuck into the delicious meals that are provided.
All the staff at the home are exceptional, Tracey and her team go above and beyond to make our Dad’s time as good as it can be, this extends to all our family. There is a wonderful sense of family at Cheviot’s and the staff take the trouble to find out all my Dad’s interests and tailor his care to his needs. As well as the care, Miguel, who organises the entertainments at the home, has created a wonderful programme of events which also include the families to make the residents time at the home as stimulating and as fun as can be hoped.
We cannot thank everyone at Cheviot’s enough, there is always a smile and a warm welcome when we step through the doors and we are so grateful that we found you.
With many, heart felt thanks”

“Just a word to all, to include management, reception, nurses, carers, catering staff, gardeners in fact anyone who has a hand in running “cheviot” we cannot express enough our profound thanks and appreciation of the care and support given to our late mother, personally i have nothing but praise to extend to all of you and can confidently say Betty was as happy as could be in your care, she enjoyed her walks ,weather permitting in your gardens and the roads around “Cheviot” and although a quiet person knew what was going on. The staff were always cheerful and friendly, which I believe was very important to lift people’s moods and create a nice atmosphere. I will miss calling at “Cheviot” as has become part of my weekly routine a good part I might add, but hey, hope to call in at times to see all you special people.”
