Cheviot Nursing Home is a welcoming 33 bed home in Lexden, close to the centre of Colchester. With qualified nurses on-hand 24 hours a day, we provide compassionate care for residents with complex medical needs, offering support that is tailored for each person.

Our nursing care team are highly qualified and are available 24/7. We are able to accommodate GP and dentist visits, when required.
Yes, respite stays are for a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 6 weeks. This is ideal for post-operative care, when families are on holiday, or when caregivers need a short break. Contact us directly to discuss how we can support you.
A respite stay would be an ideal way to find out if the home is suitable for you and meets your needs.
We cannot accept applicants with a confirmed dementia diagnosis. However, if a resident develops dementia whilst in our care, we will continue to support them for as long as the service can meet their needs.
